Up to WWC Main PageBackground:
Brodrick is 99 years old, and was born in Gryrax, capital of the Principality of Ulek, as fourth son of His Highness, Prince Volimar Corond of Ulek, Lord of the Peaks of Haven - the hereditary dwarven ruling family of the region. Filled with a wander-lust unusual for dwarves, Brodrick has travelled far and wide from his roots however, and has not been in Ulek for over ten years, and, also different from most dwarves, chose to follow Kord as his patron deity.

In some ways more at home around humans than his fellow dwarves, Brodrick made his way to Cauldron several years ago, and has become known in the town as a passable weapon-smith, though has never owned his own forge or set up his own shop - instead merely occasionally working in collaboration with the local craftsmen. He has even spent some time working with the Gnome lock-smith Keygan Ghelve, helping him out when busy, and considered the gnomish locksmith illusionist a reasonable friend. (OOC: As in slightly better than an acquaintance, but less than a true friend to be confided in).

Of the approximate 250 other dwarves in Cauldron, he knows many by name, and raises a tankard with several on a regular basis, though tends not to highlight his royal roots, passing himself off as son of a merchant instead. One of his dwarven drinking buddies, Lorthan Ironfold and his wife Sondor were recently kidnapped, and although Sondor was rescued, Lorthan was sold into slavery into the underdark. Since then, Brodrick felt had something stir inside him - a desire for justice that was probably more at home in a Priest of St. Cuthbert than a lay Kord worshipper - a desire to put right some of the obvious wrongs he could see happening...

When the High Priest Asfelkir Hranleurth of the Temple of Lordly Might in Cauldron suggested that he join with the adventurers who had defeated the slaver ring, and help them out with their own mission - he was surpised, but then leapt at the chance...
