The two of them tried to start a major war and get rich off the profits. The war never happened but then again Fathesque is a quite adept political manueverer and survived and even prospered. I hear he still has close ties with the Cult of Bhaal as well as the Red Wizards of Thay."

"He and his own have run afoul of the Zhents a few times so I doubt they have such a lovely relationship at the moment."

The last is said with a flash of white teeth from beneath the dark skin of his Chondathian and elven heritage.

"His Iron Throne now runs a somewhat shady mercantile enterprise and has under its rank and file quite a few individuals of power both with spell and sword. They have grand designs like I said not so unlike the Zhentarim but in their own ways different. They have powerful guild headquarters in Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldurs Gate, Calimshan, Westgate. And apparently in Sembia too."

"Fathesque himself is easily an archmage in every sense of the word and should not be underestimated but he tends to be a behind the scenes player and has others do his work for him so it is truly hard to judge what he will do here."
