Leathynos's Background

Lea’s life, until the age of 50 (12 in human years) had been very normal. She went to a teacher, learning to read and write in her native language.

Her afternoons had been spent with an elderly elf woman, Amblouin Ambrodel. She looked forward to her time with Amblouin because the woman taught her the art of healing. Lea seemed to have what her mother called “the gift” and every hour she spent with Amblouin seemed to prove it more and more...

Her older brother, Kemian often teased her about it as siblings were apt to do, but he was close to his younger sister and proud of her gifts as well.

Then when all seemed to be falling into place, a human raiding party attacked their quiet village, killing Lea’s parents. At the time of the attack, Kemian, Amblouin and Lea had been many miles deep in the woods in search of the healing herbs Lea needed for her studies.

Upon finding their parents dead, the 3 lone survivors packed what they could and headed back into the woods, living deep in the forest away from where humans could find them. Years passed and the Silthas children grew.In time a servant joined the household. Kemian announced that he would travel and see what other elves he could find, promising to return in a month.

The month passed and there was no sign of her brother. Lea wasted no time in packing her bag, despite the old woman’s protests.

Hugging Amblouin, she promised to return Lea had never been outside the village and forest she grew up in, and found the world of men and dwarves fascinating. She quickly learned several dialects of elf and learned common. Traveling for many months, she always seemed just a few days behind her brother no matter what she did. Then suddenly the trail went cold, and she could find no more clues as to where he was.

It was in a tavern that she met Sidon Blackstar. He was young, adventurous and charming...just the kind of man to sweep a naive elf maiden off her feet. And it was only a matter of time before they were wed. They traveled together looking for Kemian for several years During that time Sidon taught Lea how to use a sword and protect herself. During this time, unbeknownst to either of them, she was followed ...stalked actually..

Rizzen Banrae was a noble from his clan. A powerful man that could have anything and anyone...in the Underdark where he was from. Rizzen was a drow, with typical white hair and dark skin and in a twisted way, the beautiful Elf with the human husband seemed to be the focus of his hate for both their kind. Yet Rizzen was twisted in his hate convinced it was something completely different.

All attempts by the couple to allude the drow seemed useless. The couple, in desperation, even tried traveling apart for a time. Late one night, Lea received word from Sidon that he was ill and to come to a tavern to heal him. Fearing the worst, Lea went to her husband, horrified to find it had been a trick by Rizzen.

Despite all attempts to escape, he raped her then disappeared from the tavern, traveling all night until he reached the tavern where Sidon really was bragging to the weak human about what he had done to Sidon’s woman. A fight ensued and Sidon was wounded badly.

Devastated, Lea returns to the forest where Amblouin still lives, with in a few week realizing she is carrying the drow’s child. Neither Sidon nor Rizzen knew of the hidden forest and neither could find her in her refuge. There she stayed until Delandrial Silthas was born. The child having her mothers dark hair and light skin but her drow father’s lavender eyes.

Despite her conception, Lea loved the child dearly, the birth making her wonder where Sidon and her brother both were. Keeping the child safely hidden in the forest, Lea headed back into the world of humans in search of her brother and her husband.

Again time passed as she traveled the roads with no news of Kemian. She did ridicule Sidon. His pride hurt that another would touch what was his, Sidon had taken to drinking too much and keeping the company of another woman. He refused to even listen to Lea, believing it was her own fault that she was raped blaming her for allowing the resulting child to live.

Crushed, Lea again retreated to the forest and the safety of Amblouin’s cabin. Many years later, Lea heard that Sidon died of a bad liver........ After a few years, Lea again set out to find Kemian. Again finding little evidence of his where-abouts.

Once again finding herself stalked by Rizzen. who had learned about the existence of his child. Unable to learn more about the child, he became enraged kidnaping Lea and taking her into the Underdark. There Lea was little more then a slave, hated for her light skin. Abused and ridiculed, Lea’s only thought was on the safety of her daughter. Despite all attempts by Rizzen to find the child’s location, Lea held strong refusing to tell him.

After Lea’s third year in the Underdark, Rizzen’s sister, Crystallis, helped Lea to escape. This was not out of the drowess’s kind heart...it was revenge to anger her brother. Lea made no attempts to contact her daughter until she felt the child was safe. The child now a young adult, still lives with Ambrodel in a safe/hidden location. While Rizzen still seeks both Lea and Delandrial, Lea has been honing her healing, fighting and outdoors skills. At present Lea is contemplating another search for her brother.
