Color
Bright
A riot of color bright
is bathed in the early light
that emanates from the peeping sun
Another day has begun.
Gently swaying here and there
like soft caresses to a lover's hair
the breeze entwines among the leaves
noone cares and noone sees.
Dead brown wood ascrapes the sky
spindly fingers, reaching high
a sense of quiet expectation
brings about a new sensation.
Slowly green does tingle the spine
as your eyes begin to climb
goose bumps appear on the skin
it feels so good, it's not a sin.
Green gives way to pale soft yellow
which forms the bed below
here and there a dash is vibrant!
But try to look away, you can't.
Magnetically it holds your eyes
while also releasing wanting sighs
Building, building ever higher
to orange, to build the fire.
Trembling in orange's glow
your eyes will travel, your mind will moan
A wave accentuates your head
you know it's time, time for red.
Blazing, caught within the sun
Explosions rock you, one by one!
Stretching, reaching now gently waning
The time is done you know what I'm saying.
It fades and pulses to a dull red ember
Far beyond the days of September.
Sighing in glad release
the waves of excitement have begun to cease.
Return to brown, the gentle wood
the breeze that sways like no lover could
to soft caresses of a lover's hair
Someone sees, someone cares.
