Fade to Black

Darkness beckons,
My name it calls.
It offers to cover me,
Helps build my walls.

In the dark I hide,
My eyes closed tight.
Beats the fuck out of me
What I feel tonight.

Pain and Anger,
Torment my soul.
Frustration fills me
I don’t feel whole.

I don’t understand it,
Why I hurt so much,
I thought I could cope,
I guess I fail as such.

Like swirling waters,
Malovent and deep,
A storm is brewing
In the thoughts I keep.
