System’s
Analyst
I’m a system’s analyst,
Thats my title true,
I wonder at how apt it is,
Since analysis is all I do.
Not at work you understand,
No there it’s just a part,
I mean the rest of life,
and of course, matters of the heart.
Some claim I think too much,
I shouldn’t let it get me down,
I should just “lay back”, “be cool”,
“go with the flow”, and “relax that frown”
But you just can’t turn your mind off,
No matter how hard you try,
And if you think of other things,
It’s your subconcious’s turn to cry.
When I was a kid,
I used to take things apart,
I wanted to see just how they worked,
To rebuild them I was not always that smart.
It’s similar now I’m older,
I need the hows and whys,
I need to understand what’s going on,
The visions in my eyes.
